Week Away

(my 35th birthday)

For the past three days, I've been attending the Earl Lectures in Berkeley. This is my 6th year attending, and some of the speakers were outstanding, some had good thoughts but a boring presentation, and some just put me to sleep. You win some, you lose some. But I'll be back next year.

The Earl Lectures are sponsored by the Pacific School of Religion, which this week launched a new website called The Progressive Christian Witness. It's worth checking out if you're into progressive Christianity. There's a link to the right.

I'll be in my own bed tonight, then tomorrow it's off to a two-day training for summer camp directors near Napa. See you when I get back!

Happy belated birthday!
And, just so you know, even though I am a vibrant and youthful 28, some of my best friends are in their mid-thirties!!!
