Name Recognition

A funny thing... I once entered my name on the google search engine to see if anything about me showed up. Well, nothing really did, but I did learn that somewhere there is a Danny Bradfield (not me) who is a principal of a school somewhere.

Now that I have a blog, I thought I'd try again, but when I enter my name, my blog is not listed, at least not in the top 20 search returns. Perhaps because my last name only appears once, on a post that I wrote a month or so ago. ("ya think?")

I tried some other words and phrases, starting with "Field of Dandelions" (which, if you haven't figured out by now, is sort of a play on my name). I came up at number 12. Then I remembered a fellow blogger, Michael Main, who wrote about the recipe for McDonald's McGriddles once, and lo and behold, got his blog listed at number one when "McGriddle Recipe" was entered. So I tried typing in Gordita. Number 13.

Maybe I should mention gorditas more often. Or better yet, my name; which, if I haven't mentioned it before, is Danny Bradfield. Or maybe I could work on an even bigger problem: how to get progressive Christianity recognized by the mainstream culture....nah, too difficult. I'll leave that to Jim Wallis, and spend my time focusing on what's really important.

Danny Bradfield.

Field of Dandelions.

Gordita.

LOL!

Because reverendmother is also a character in Dune, I get some strange hits when I self-google.

Hmm... self-googling. Sounds a little... off. But something I do, um, frequently.
Gordita.

Technically the term is "ego surfing" i think :)

You might try changing your template to add your full name to the "posted by" section.

Of course now that you've mentioned Mcgriddle Recipe...you'll zoom to the top :)
