Night and Day on Mt. Whitney Trail

The hike on the Mt. Whitney Trail began in predawn darkness.  After about an hour of hiking, a glow in the east signaled the start of the new day.... In the afternoon, we returned back down the trail, and could see what we couldn't see before.
