Resume

Not having a job is getting old. I wonder if part of the problem is my resume....

Objective
To find a full-time, temporary job so I don't run out of money before I get the job I really want.

Experience
Pastor of a small country church, where I successfully handled challenges such as chasing skunks out from under the sanctuary and arranging for porta-potties when the septic tank overflowed during Vacation Bible School.

Education
Way too much for the temp job I'm currently seeking.

Training
My training will be a great asset for those water-cooler conversations on eschatology and biblical exegesis.

Funny bit.
You got skills.

Unless you think its a jinx, what job do you really want?

We currently have ove 20 country churches that have asked us for leadership. We have openings at our spring candidate school but you would have to hurry. I can't find out anything about your theological background or training but you can check us out at www.village-missions.org. Trusting that God will lead you.

HA!!! That was great!

"My training will be a great asset for those water-cooler conversations on eschatology and biblical exegesis."

That's a perfect description of my predicament, at least when I left full-time ministry and moved to New Jersey. I never trained to do anything else besides ministry, and that tends to complicate matters. The job I have now at AT&T isn't what I want, but it may help get me to where I need to be.

Then again, wherever I am, there I am.
