Person of the Year

I'd like to thank Time magazine for choosing me as their person of the year for 2006. Really, it's quite an honor. I can't tell you what it means to me to share this award with such distinguished online figures as the guy who made a video of himself hand-farting the star-spangled banner and then posted it on YouTube ... or the pimple-faced kid who has nothing better to do than pimp out his myspace site.

Really, I'm flattered. For two years now I've been trying to change the world through my blog, getting an occasional comment now and then, but never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be recognized for my efforts by Time. However, I'd better end this post now before all this goes to my head.
