I think there is something in our culture that tells us we have to be all grown up at 40 and leave the child behind. There are things you need to grow up for and things you probably shouldn't. (I am thinking of William Blake's ideas on innocence and experience)<br />Then there are some interesting ideas in Transactional Analysis that I like.
